How Does KOSUN Centrifugal Pump Work?

Aug 05, 2012

Centrifugal pump is a sub-class of dynamic axisymmetric work-absorbing turbomachinery. Centrifugal pump is used to transport fluids by the conversion of rotational kinetic energy to the hydrodynamic energy of the fluid flow.
Like most pumps, a centrifugal pump converts mechanical energy from a motor to energy of a moving fluids. A portion of the energy goes into kinetic energy of the fluid motion, and some into potential energy, represented by fluid pressure (Hydraulic head) or by lifting the fluids, against gravity, to a higher altitude. The transfer of energy from the mechanical rotation of the impeller to the motion and pressure of the fluids is usually described in terms of centrifugal force, especially in older sources written before the modern concept of centrifugal force as a fictitious force in a rotating reference frame was well articulated. The concept of centrifugal force is not actually required to describe the action of the centrifugal pump.

KOSUN SB Series Sand Pump is a kind of newly developed pump matched to solids control equipment in petroleum, mine and drilling industries. It adopts axial suction structure and overflowing parts made of wear-resistant cast iron. It is suitable for transporting corrosive drilling fluids containing suspended particles or other liquid mediums with similar properties. The parametric design of sand pump fully considers that the matching solids control equipment can work under the optimal working conditions, and its main features are the high interchangeability of its parts, little shaft seal leakage, reliable operation, long service life and convenient maintenance.
KOSUN was established in China’ s ancient capita---Xi’ an in 1992. Xi’ an KOSUN Machinery Co. , Ltd. is a professional manufacturing company of petroleum drilling equipment. The company mainly manufactures shale shakers, desanders, desilters, degassers, and centrifugal pumps .
