Submersible slurry pump is a kind of centrifugal pump, and play an important role in solids control system. The following is the four problems of slurry pump and the corresponding solutions.

Submersible slurry pump has the cantilever pump structure with single stage and single suction, connected with the pump hydraulic components by bearing housing, supporting and intermediate pipe. The fluid is discharged out from the drain pipe parts. Its impeller is semi-open and welded with agitating blades. KOSUN Submersible Slurry Pump's main characteristics are that  the underwater pump shaft parts have enough rigidity, the impeller and pump shell have no bearings, no shaft seal, which can transport the greater medium of solid particles. The length of inserting the water by slurry pump is between 800 mm and 1900mm, the suction pipe can be matched if needed. The shaft seal runs into the underwater pump without setting up the shaft seal. The drive should be installed with the vertical motor on the supporting seat connected with coupling and pump.

When submersible slurry pump doesn't absorb water:

The reasons that submersible slurry pump doesn’ t absorb water are possibly suction pipe block and impeller damage. To solve the problem, the main method is to clean suction pipe blockage and to repair or replace impeller.

If submersible slurry pump power is too large:

If the submersible slurry pump power is too large, it is mainly due to excessive packing compaction, friction in pump, bearing damage and too large pump roll quantity. Solutions of the four faults are to unscrew packing gland bolt, adjust the gap in pump, repair or replace damaged bearing and regulate the operation of pump.

When submersible slurry pump bearing heats too much:

If the submersible slurry pump bearing heats too much, the reasons are generally lubricating oil and bearing, excluding clean lubricating oil, improper amount of lubricating oil used in bearing, bearing damage, etc. The main solutions are to use clean lubricating oil, according to the requirements, to add lubricating oil for bearing, to repair or replace new bearing.

How to extend submersible slurry pump bearing life?

If the submersible slurry pump bearing has a short life, it is due to friction in pump, impeller unbalanced, foreign body in bearing, improperly equipped bearing, tortuous center shaft. Solutions are to adjust impeller balance or replace new impeller, clear bearing foreign body, equip bearing again, change center shaft.
