Drilling mud decanter centrifuge adopts centrifugal force to separate solid particles out of drilling fluid. Different solid or particle have different density and flow speed, drilling mud decanter centrifuge also can separate particles as different size and density. Decanter centrifuge is an important equipment in solids control system. It is widely used in drilling waste management system and oilfield drilling mud circulation system. According to 15-day efforts, the centrifuge has already been finished and prepared to delivery.

The drilling mud decanter centrifuges can separate fine particles well, for separating 5-7μm particles in drilling mud, usually use medium speed decanter centrifuge, for solids less than 2μm in diameter, usually use high speed decanter centrifuges.

Operation of Decanter Centrifuge

1. All safety protection guards shall be installed before starting up. It is forbidden to open the guards of decanter centrifuge to observe the running state of the machines.

2. During the operation of the decanter centrifuge, it is avoided to touch moving parts and rotation parts.
 

3. It is forbidden to brake in any way before the decanter centrifuge is stopped.

4. If there is abnormal noise and vibration, shut down decanter centrifuge immediately and make troubleshooting.

5. It is forbidden to have the decanter centrifuge running at the rotating speed out of active speed that indicated in the instruction and nameplate.

6. Only after power is cut off can electrical devices be wired or plugged/unplugged.

Maintenance of Decanter Centrifuge

1. Only after power is cut off and bowl stops completely running can the decanter centrifuge be dismantled and adjusted.

2. When opening the cover of collecting box, it should be opened sufficiently and be fixed to prevent the sudden closure of the cover and injure the operators.

In a solids control system, drilling mud decanter centrifuge is the fourth stage equipment for a drilling mud system.
