Drilling fluids pump is a special pump in centrifugal pump. We also call it as sand pump. It is mainly used to transfer drilling fluids for desander, desilter, and provide sufficient power for mixing drilling fluids.

Centrifugal pump includes single stage, multi stage, etc. if divided by stage; it includes vertical type, horizontal type if divided by stands type; it includes self-suction and non-self suction if divided by suction model; it includes common material centrifugal pump, stainless steel pump if divided by wet parts material; it includes water pump, oil pump, slurry pump, etc. if divided by process medium. A centrifugal pump is one of the simplest pieces of equipment. Its purpose is to convert energy of an electric motor or engine into velocity or kinetic energy and then into pressure of a fluid that is being pumped. The energy changes occur to two main parts of the pump, the impeller and the volute. The impeller is the rotating part that converts driver energy into the kinetic energy. The volute is the stationary part that converts the kinetic energy into pressure.
 

The pump adopts the axial suction structure, horizontal or vertical structure, composed of a motor, a pump seat, a pump shell, an impeller, etc., using shear coupling ( horizontal pump ) or plum coupling ( vertical ) connection, mechanical or combined sealing structure, the main vice impeller combination.
