In March 2011, from Russia’s National Natural Gas Company, five specialists and sales managers visited KOSUN’s production base located in Jingwei Industrial Park and negotiated the business there. Finally, they came to terms and signed contract with KOSUN regarding 8 sets of solids control systems used for 3,000-meter drilling.

Open Joint Stock Company Gazprom, as the largest natural gas company worldwide, was formed out of Russia’s National Natural Gas Konzern. It is now the biggest natural gas producer in Russia. In 2010, it stored 49.27 trillion cubic meters of natural gas and produced 559.5 billion cubic meters, both of which were the first among Ten Largest Natural Gas Producers. Gazprom has got a very prominent status in Russian economy, therefore, all the common media in Russia hailed it as “the Pioneer in Russian Economy”. It has contributed 8% of Russia's gross domestic production, has secured 25% of national budget and has had 65% of Russia’s gas storage and 20% of global gas storage in hand.

This time, Gazprom sent the representative delegation to have a visit in KOSUN. Later on, they entered into the contract with KOSUN on 8 sets of solids control systems used for 3,000-meter drilling, which comprises peripheral matched equipment for drilling machine, like solids control system, electric motors, gas compressors, standardized circuits in drilling units, MCC and so on. Of them the main part is truck-mounted drilling rig made by Italy’s Drillmec. This contract was signed for 3 years to implement all the items included. The cooperation with Gazprom meant KOSUN became assembly service provider of solids control system in Russia.

After the contract, the delegation devoted a lengthy and full discussion with KOSUN’s managers as well as technicians about relative problems, even had a group photo taken to mark the occasion.
